    Artists from around Australia are being challenged to turn their attention to a new modelling subject...kelpie dogs.

    The Casterton Kelpie Association, which runs the two-day annual muster, is throwing out the challenge to established and budding artists from around Australia to come up with unique depictions of kelpies for an expanded art competition. Learn More...

    RSPCA / Million Paws Walk

    Each year, members of the Casterton Kelpie Association are invited by the RSPCA to attend annual events held including The Million Paws Walk. Bringing a slice of Working Kelpie life to central Melbourne, the CKA hold demonstrations throughout the day to entertain thousands of people. One of the most popular attractions it is a fantastic opportunity to help promote the Muster and Kelpie! 

     

Clark Rubber Australian Working Dog Muster

The 17th Clark Rubber Australian Working Dog Muster will be held on 8th and 9th June 2013, Queen's Birthday long weekend, in Casterton, Victoria.

At this year's auction for 2012 the record for the Highest Priced Dog was broken not once but twice - 'Tom' a Red Male Kelpie was sold by Matthew Johnson for $12,000 to Paul Weeding in Tasmania. Tom was also the winner of the RMA Working Dog Trial and the second placing in the trial went to 'Lessi Charlie' owned by Ian O'Connell who later sold him at the Working Dog Auction for $10,750 to Carters Transport, Victoria.

The RMA Working Dog Trial was a great success and well supported and in 2013 becomes the RMA Working Dog Futurity. Information is available online under the RMA Futurity 2013 tab.

The Festival and The Auction is a great weekend with loads of entertainment. We have variety of events which will start with the RMA Working Dog Futurity, followed by The Poets Breakfast which is absolutely enthralling. The Kelpie Triathlon attracts a number of entries, and the High Jump record is still waiting to be broken, and watch the speed of the Kelpies in the Kelpie Dash.

The Stockman's Challenge is a high calibre event watching the contestants compete with the working dog's and horses over the obstacle course.
